The Process

Simple steps to
join the pool

We've designed the investment process to be clear, straightforward, and guided. Most investors complete all six steps within two weeks of initial inquiry.

01

Verify Accreditation

Confirm that you qualify as an accredited investor under SEC Regulation D Rule 501. Accredited investors generally meet income thresholds of $200,000+ individually ($300,000+ joint) or have a net worth exceeding $1 million excluding primary residence.

We'll help you through the verification process. A simple form and documentation.

02

Review the Portfolio

Explore all 30+ portfolio companies and their investment thesis. Each company profile includes their market opportunity, stage, and what makes them a compelling addition to the pool.

Take your time. We want you to invest with conviction.

03

Choose Your Tier

Select from three investment tiers: Partner ($25,000 minimum), Senior Partner ($100,000 minimum), or Founding Member ($250,000+). Each tier offers increasing access, engagement, and information rights.

No pressure to start at the top tier. Many investors begin as Partners.

04

Complete Paperwork

Sign the subscription agreement and complete KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) verification. Our team guides you through every document with clear explanations.

Fully digital. DocuSign-based. Takes less than 20 minutes.

05

Wire Your Investment

Wire instructions are provided upon completion of documentation. Funds are held in a segregated account until the pool closes. No action is taken with your capital until all closing conditions are met.

Wire transfers only. Full instructions provided with closing documents.

06

Receive Updates

Once invested, you receive quarterly reports, company updates, and access to investor calls. Founding Members receive monthly briefings and direct access to portfolio company leadership.

Transparent, consistent communication throughout your investment lifecycle.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an accredited investor?

Under SEC Regulation D Rule 501, an accredited investor is an individual with income over $200,000 (or $300,000 jointly with a spouse) for the past two years with expectation of similar income in the current year, OR a net worth exceeding $1,000,000 (excluding primary residence). Certain professional certifications and entities also qualify. We'll help confirm your status during onboarding.

How is the pool structured?

The Purpose-Driven Angel Investment Pool is structured as a pooled investment vehicle managed by Stock Alternatives LLC. Your capital is deployed across the portfolio companies per the pool's investment mandate. Full structure details are provided in the subscription agreement.

What happens if a portfolio company fails?

Early-stage investing carries significant risk, including the possibility of total loss. That's precisely why the pool invests across 30+ companies — so no single failure is catastrophic to your overall position. Diversification is one of the core risk management principles of the pool.

How long is the investment horizon?

Angel investments are typically illiquid for 5-10 years. The pool is designed as a long-term hold vehicle. You should only invest capital that you can commit for an extended period without needing liquidity.

When will I see returns?

Returns are realized when portfolio companies experience a liquidity event — such as acquisition, merger, IPO, or secondary sale. These events are unpredictable and not guaranteed. Distributions are made to investors upon successful liquidity events.

Can I invest more than the minimum?

Yes. Minimums are thresholds, not caps. You can invest at any amount above the tier minimum, subject to pool capacity and availability.
